Except for people with medical problems.
There should be no limit of maximum number of children but don’t you think every rich person should have at least 3 children and every poor person (people below a certain income) should have at least 2 children. (I am being very lenient here).
Think of the benefits. Children are nation’s future investments. We will no longer have to invite people from thrid world countries to fill the shortage to personnel in different fields. Studies have shown that children raised in big families fare much better in lives as compared to others.

Zero? It’s a free nation and people can have as many kids as they want. Oh and I’m an only child and I have a really good life, put some statistics on here that show that before you go off making stupid judgments.
ETA: I just read your profile and I’m really offended, my parents are not criminals because they had one child; they can afford one child and they are happy with devoting all their attention on one child. You sound so freaking psycho and narrowminded and you call yourself a “Christian” go get a life you stupid troll.
♥ SK ♥ says:
There’d be a lot of child abuse and neglect if everyone had to have kids because not everyone is fit to be parents. And some people are too poor. Others just don’t wanna have children and there’s nothing wrong with that because it’s their life. So zero should be the minimum.
Edit:Um, excuse me? I’m a criminal because I’m an introvert? That’s a personality trait, not a crime. And atheists and people with less than two children aren’t criminals either. Get your head out of the sand.
Oh yeah, and people who don’t dance or are too close to their parents are criminals too? WTF, you’re crazy.

ZERO. You fail to take into account the amount of money needed to raise this many children. Your taxes would skyrocket, social programs would fail, and our already increasing unemployment rate would be astronomical when this many children come of age. More children would be abused simply because they are unwanted. And how exactly would you define “poor” and “rich”? My income is well over 150k a year. I live in an area where the average is 40k. By my community standards I am rich. If i moved to Tahoe or Beverly Hills I would be considered poor. Are you going to take into consideration where people live in deciding who needs to have 3 children and who needs 2? What about our Civil rights? Forcing someone to have children is NOT freedom. Are we also to let the government decide who we can marry, where we can live, and what jobs we can do?

What should the minimum amount of pollution everyone should make? What is the minimum amount of diseases each person should spread?
There are not enough resources for more children. I have seen many of your questions. Clearly you do not understand this.
We never had to invite people from 3rd world countries. We do not have to let “guest workers” take jobs. No wealthy person is going to let their kids do these jobs anyway.
There is only one reason why people are allowed to come here as “guest workers”. The legislators that allow this to continue are buying future votes from them.

Yes, you should check out the problems they’re going to have in China in a few years when the aging population retires and all those families who were only allowed to have one child each are in severe financial strain. Not to mention that the government won’t have the tax income to support the aged.
So, I see your point .. but there are some people who don’t want kids and let’s face it, we all know a lot of people who shouldn’t have kids (because they beat them, or because the gene pool would be without a lifeguard!!!)
How can you justify imposing a birth rate on the population based on their income tax or assets? Major human rights issue, never mind freedom!
davya85 says:
This is ridiculous. There should be no minimum. Why make people have children? Oh, and if someone is “poor”, why make them have at least 2 children? How would they be able to afford those 2 children?
I hope you are being facetious and you don’t honestly believe in regulating everyone’s lives according to some “studies”.
Mikel says:
That is crazy lol i do not think that poor people should have tons of children, since many just take advantage of the goverment money this way and do not work. But if rich people had 3 kids then they would spend all their money on the children, so when they got older their family wouldnt have money left. They would of spent it on horse lessons, tennis, cars, vacations, shopping, and some schooling. This would in turn require us to depend on how academically successful these children would be…..I guess it was a good thought but not really thought through

I am not poor and have 2 kids a boy and a girl what I have always wanted I am happy that god has blessed me with my pair. I think it’s crazy like that show 17 and Counting WOW that’s a whole lot of kids. I think whether your poor, rich, or whatever your income is if you have a big family or not it’s entirely up to oneself to decide

Yes and while we are at it lets overpopulate the earth and make hunger and starvation even greater than it is now. Im christian but god also taught me about moderation and common sense. If we can stop wars between nations then we can concentrate and getting the influx of people settled on the moon or eventually mars.
canoso says:
Eight for you and zero for everyone else. If you want eight kids, that’s great, but you have no right to dictate how many children someone else has, unless of course you wouldn’t mind them doing the same for you and determining a maximum you should have.

Forcing people to have children creates a unhappy populace. Forcing people to be pregnant brings a host of human rights violatations including a forced medical procedures. You are also suggesting we force abusers to have children.
pinkmoon says:
You can have as many children as you wish, just remember a child is a lot of responsibility and requires a lot of care.
DeafMomm says:
I think a 18 year old is naive thinking this way. Wait and see if your mind changes after 10 years and 8 kids. My answer is 0. No one should be forced to have children and limit their desire of how many children they can have either.
JennyH says:
I think, it’s whatever a person can handle financially, and mentally. I have 2 boys, I would love to have another one, but we can’t afford the 2 we have, let alone another one…and we’re not poor.
Tas1234 says:
There should be no limit. BUT all i can say is if you want kids have them and try to bring them up as decent members of societ. DECENT NOT PERFECT.
You dont want kids try using contreception. No point in bringing a unwanted child into this place
Zingy says:
Zero. How do you make people to have any children? As for me – I have no children and I am glad of it because I do not see good future of Earth.
kcini8 says:
You are being very biased, but I agree that the earth is becoming way too populated so 2 should be the max for everyone despite income or anything else.
Graf Eisen says:
Zero. Not everyone is interested in having children.
Ahimsa says:
Zero. Nobody should be forced to have children.
